Transitioning from Summer to Fall

Leading From The Heart

Traditionally, I get pretty bummed when summer comes to an end and my kids have to go back to school. I have always loved and cherished every moment of summer with my kids at home! No early morning rises, no rushing to get kids ready & out the door, no homework, no afterschool or evening activities that monopolize those precious hours with your kids and family. Just a slow, chill, and relaxed summer schedule. I CRAVE it.

But oddly enough this summer I don’t feel my typical end of summer “depression”. I’m actually looking forward to Fall temperatures and Fall activities. I’m excited my kids are back in school . They’ve entered a new era; 1 has entered high school and 1 is finishing her last year of high school. Maybe it’s also because my kids are older and they manage most of what used to send us into a rushed frenzy every school day.

Regardless, I’m ready to transition into Fall. I’m ready to say goodbye to summer and look forward to what’s ahead for the last part of this year. I’m contemplating all the transitions we encounter in life. I wonder what you are looking forward to as we transition from summer to fall? I wonder what transitions you are excitedly embracing, or maybe begrudgingly accepting. Either way, as we all know, life is always full of transition. We can’t avoid it, so we might as well embrace the CHANGE and make the most of it!

Happy Fall Ya’ll!
