Matthew Jennings

Matthew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and Certified Anger Management Specialist – II (CAMS-II). Matthew graduated from Clayton State University in Morrow, Ga in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Services and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN in 2010.

Matthew has 10 years of counseling experience with individuals, families, and groups. He has worked in various levels within mental health including outpatient settings, mobile crisis, in-patient settings, mentoring, and within clinical management settings. He has worked with multiple therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Eco Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT). Matthew has a strong background working with children, adolescents, and families.

He has also worked with individual adults and couples. His area of interests include depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, self-harm, physically/sexually/neglected abused individuals, and those dealing with parenting and relational issues. Matthew feels that the Therapeutic Alliance is extremely important. He will start out where the individual and/or family are and focus on Person Centered Care.
