Keyana Williams
MEd, LCMHC
Keyana has 8 years of counseling experience and has been a fully licensed clinical mental health counselor since 2016. After completing an internship with the Art Therapy Institute of North Carolina, Keyana graduated from the Counselor Education program at North Carolina State University. She has experience working with adults, teenagers, and children. She has worked with clients with Major Depressive Disorder, anxiety disorders including OCD, mood disorders, substance abuse, PTSD, and self-harming behaviors. Keyana has extensive experience treating clients with Borderline Personality Disorder, Schizoaffective and Schizophrenia, and Bipolar types I and II. She uses an integrative and holistic approach to treatment utilizing CBT, DBT, and ACT as well as mindfulness and meditation techniques.
Keyana believes that each client is unique, meaning that one approach will not work for each client. She spends time in early sessions learning each client’s way of seeing the world, so that she can speak to each client in a way that resonates with him/her specifically. Keyana believes that we all have sources of strength and power within ourselves and within the world around us. Her role as your therapist is to help clients locate and utilize those sources of strength. She looks forward to helping you address your unique counseling needs, such as enhancing coping skills, overcoming life transitions, and/or increasing your insight into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
