Elizabeth Gardner

LCSWA

Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University.

Elizabeth has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She believes in approaching therapy from a strengths-based and integrative approach, aiming to understand and meet each person and family’s individual needs and styles. Each client is a unique individual with many different experiences and aspects of life; with this in mind, she believes it is essential that the process is unique to each person she works with. She will work collaboratively with each client to tailor their sessions to best fit what they need and hope to achieve from the process. She has experience working with a variety of individuals who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, PTSD, and abuse (including child, sexual, physical, and emotional). Elizabeth utilizes multiple techniques in therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Elizabeth knows how hard therapy can be and how difficult it can be for someone to be vulnerable. That is why It is important for her to meet clients where they are at and provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive, comfortable, and inviting environment where clients can share, heal, and grow.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys being with family and friends, drinking coffee, crafting, shopping, and hanging out with her two cats (Simba and Apollo). She strives to continue learning new approaches and techniques to best support her clients.
