Douglas Mariano

Douglas is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA). Douglas graduated from William James College in Newton, MA in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Services and earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons University in Boston, MA in 2022.

Douglas is bilingual, offering therapy services in both English and Portuguese. Douglas has worked in the mental health field since 2017, providing mentoring services, in-home therapy services, and outpatient therapy in both the school setting and the group practice setting. Douglas specializes in working with individuals and families to improve communication through understanding and engagement. He works with individuals of all ages, with a focus on young adults and couples. He is a facilitator of Prepare & Enrich and provides counseling for pre-marital and married couples through this model. He utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. Douglas has experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, OCD, ADHD, low self-esteem, interpersonal relationship challenges, communication challenges, complex family dynamics, parenting challenges, and marital challenges among other topics. He is happy to provide Christ-centered counseling services upon request.

Douglas loves to spend time with his family, his beautiful wife, and two wonderful children. He loves to go outside and be in nature, spend time with friends, and serve at his local church.
