Alisa Evans

MS, LCMHC, LPC

Alisa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Clinician in the state of North Carolina and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. For the past six years, she has worked in outpatient therapy settings, providing behavioral and mental health treatment to children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Much of Alisa’s work focuses on healing from traumatic experiences using the evidence-based practice of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). She also integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, TEAM CBT, Reality Therapy, DBT skills, and mindfulness to treat anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders (including grief and loss). Recognizing the impact of sleep and physical health on mental wellbeing, she trained in CBT for insomnia and CBT for weight loss and management. For clients who request it, Alisa will integrate faith-based counseling.

While Alisa continually pursues training to improve her therapeutic skills, she believes the best education she gets is from the clients she serves. She believes people need a safe place to be heard, not judged; helped, not hurt; and valued, not shamed so they can heal and grow. She loves to sit with someone to hear their story, to value their process, and to help them move closer to their goals.
