Abigail Sigsworth
Abigail Sigsworth, LCMHCA, LCASA, NCC
Abigail is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate (LCMHCA). She received her Master of Science in Clinical Counseling with an Emphasis in Addiction from East Carolina University. She believes that all individuals have the capacity for change and the therapeutic journey should be a safe, non-judgmental space to foster self-exploration and growth. Her approach to therapy is integrative and utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including, but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Person-centered counseling. She sees individuals ages 16+ with concerns including anxiety, depression, substance use/addictions, eating disorders, ADHD, relationship stress, OCD, and others. In addition to providing care for individuals, she has an interest in providing care to couples of all backgrounds. Abigail provides a safe space for LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples.
In addition to her clinical work, Abigail also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Performance and is an avid lover of the performing arts. As an actor and previous owner of an art business, Abigail is passionate about working with artists and performers and values the connection between creativity and mental well-being.
When not in the office, Abigail enjoys a variety of artistic projects, hiking, photography, and spending time with her two cats!
