Rebecca Zumpe

MAEd., LCMHCA, LCASA, NCC

Rebecca is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), nationally certified through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC), and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate (LCASA). She earned a Bachelor of Art in Psychology at North Carolina Wesleyan University, a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Graduate Certificate in Addictions Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

Rebecca has experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in individual and group settings, and substance use and addiction in hospital and agency settings. She has a passion for working with individuals with special interests including addiction and recovery, women’s issues, life transitions including, infertility and adoption, and welcomes all sexual and gender identities making LGBTQ+ affirming space a priority. Her counseling approach is an individualized person-centered view where her clients can explore their own personal growth and development in a safe environment, integrating solution-focused therapy to assist individual in finding solutions to life’s interfering problems, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) which focuses on helping individuals change patterns of thoughts and behavior utilizing different action strategies, and motivational interviewing (MI) an evidence-based approach to behavior change. Depending on your individual needs, she will use different methods of counseling.

Outside of work you will find Rebecca spending time with her husband of over 30 years, her son adopted internationally when he was 4 months old, her goldendoodle dog, and African Gray parrot.
