Mary Baran

MA, LCMHC

Mary is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, which she obtained in 2010 from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, which she obtained in 2015 from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Mary works with individuals of all ages, but has a special interest in treating children, adolescents and families. She can work with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, body image, behavior, and parenting. Mary also helps teenagers working through problems they have at home or school. In addition, she has an interest in working with LGBTQ populations.

Mary has an eclectic counseling style, which is rooted in Person-Centered Therapy. In her counseling, she incorporates play, art and music. Currently, she is pursuing certification in Play Therapy to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) as well partially trained in EMDR therapy and seeking to become a fully trained EMDR therapist.
