Kara Gooch is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She received her Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy with a Specialization in Children and Adolescents from National University and her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Lenoir-Rhyne University.

Kara strives to have a safe and welcoming environment where each client feels supported, heard, and valued. She practices therapy with a focus on strengths and evidence based approaches. She values understanding how relationships, family dynamics, and life experiences influence both our emotional and physical well-being. She tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, strengths, goals, and desire to create meaningful change in their life. She meets each client where they are, and works alongside them to support their goals and create meaningful change in their lives.

Kara enjoys working with every stage of life. She works with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families as they navigate everyday challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, family dynamics, and emotional challenges. Kara believes in each person’s potential for growth and the value of having support along the journey.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Kara with her two dogs, Bud and Buster. She loves to be outdoors, whether she’s playing or walking her dogs, or going for a run herself. She believes that making time for the things that bring us joy, peace, and purpose is an important part of our overall well-being.
