Erin Smith

MA, LCMHC

Erin is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with more than ten years of experience. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Psychology-Clinical Counseling from The Citadel Graduate College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from NC State University.

Erin uses a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet your individual needs including interventions used in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution focused therapy.

Erin works with individuals of all ages but especially enjoys working with adolescents and adults. Erin specializes in the treatment of trauma and has clinical experience in the areas of mood, anxiety, depression, stress management, grief, life transitions, and more.

Erin has a background working in a variety of settings from inpatient to outpatient, including hospitals, admissions, mobile crisis, community-based therapy, partial hospitalization, residential treatment, and outpatient. She has experience working at every level of care possible and uses that experience to bring useful interventions to her clients.

Erin is open to all faiths and spiritual practices and meets clients where they are. She provides an open, safe space for growth and healing. Erin is interested in holistic approaches to complement traditional therapy, is a Reiki Master, and enjoys reading, watching documentaries and game nights in her free time.
