April London is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from North Carolina Central University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Wellness from Saint Augustine’s College. April is experienced in working with individuals and families including children, adolescents, and adults of various socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. Additionally, she has experience working with individuals who experience anger, defiance, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, family relational problems, depression, anxiety, autism, and other mental health disorders.
April treats clients from a person-centered approach and implements various modalities depending on the individual’s needs. Such modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eco-Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT), Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Motivational Interviewing (MI). April is also trauma-informed and welcomes the opportunity to work with Trauma-Impacted families, children, and adolescents.
Furthermore, April is passionate about working with individuals to help them recognize their own unique strengths and potential so that they feel empowered to identify their needs, move forward, set goals for themselves as well as boundaries in their relationships, and discover the satisfaction of creating a happier and healthier way of life.
