Andrae Turner

Andrae is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSW-A) in North Carolina. He was born and raised in North Carolina and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Science from North Carolina Central University. His bachelor’s degree is complemented by a Master’s degree in Social Work from Walden University. Andrae believes that mental health is a fundamental aspect of health and well-being, and that it affects how individuals, couples, and families think and feel throughout different stages of life. Through teamwork, structure, and attainable goal setting, reaching a better quality of life is inevitable. Andrae has had the opportunity to work in the social work field by directing a supportive housing program for individuals diagnosed with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness. Andrae was a former intern with One80 during his master’s program.
Andrae’s passion for mental health, fueled by personal therapeutic experiences, led him to study social work. Through these experiences, he has developed the ability to empathize with and understand adverse issues and occurrences in individuals 18 and up, couples, and families. By recognizing values and beliefs, Andrae feels that a better way of life can be built and maintained.
