Alyssa Savino

MSW, LCSW

Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Psychology and Spanish. During college she studied abroad in Seville, Spain and has traveled to over twenty countries. Alyssa has a heart for different cultures and offers bilingual services in Spanish.

Alyssa has more than four years of experience conducting therapy with children and adults. She practices from an eclectic approach, but most heavily draws from cognitive behavioral therapy. Alyssa is completing training with the NC Child Treatment Program to be a rostered Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapist for children. Alyssa specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults with a variety of concerns. She has a passion for working with teens and young women struggling with self-esteem, anxiety and depression.

Alyssa recognizes the important role of parents in making progress when working with children, and incorporates parent education and family therapy in her sessions. She also offers Christian counseling upon request. Recognizing the value of the therapeutic relationship, Alyssa takes time to build this relationship to better understand each individual and their unique backgrounds, needs, and goals. She meets each person where they are to partner with them to impart empathy, compassion, and guidance to walk through their struggles.
