Alyssa Bowden

Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Family and Community Services in 2009 from East Carolina University and her Master’s of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Campbell University in 2013. She completed over 900 hours counseling soldiers and their families during her graduate internship, and has served as an outpatient therapist for a community mental health agency for 4 years.

Alyssa values working with a variety of individuals and couples to meet their goals of mental wellness. Alyssa has provides services to men, women, and adolescents with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, developmental trauma, personality disorders, and anger management.

Alyssa is rostered as a quality provider of Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and has completed training in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Alyssa primarily utilizes EMDR therapy and existential theory while treating clients. She will meet you where you are and work with you from a place of respect and integrity, helping you meet your highest goal of mental wellness.
