As a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (LCSWA) in North Carolina, Jordan Sims brings over 10 years of experience in the social work field, supporting individuals and families through challenging life experiences. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from Walden University and a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her professional background includes child welfare, foster care and adoption, domestic violence, sexual assault, and substance use services. These experiences have shaped her commitment to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care that recognizes each person’s unique experiences, strengths, and capacity for growth.
Jordan’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She incorporates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), to help clients develop practical coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, navigate life transitions, and work toward meaningful change. She works with children and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, complex trauma, adverse childhood experiences, relationship and family challenges, and everyday stressors.
Jordan believes therapy should be a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. Her goal is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where clients can gain insight, recognize their strengths, develop healthier patterns, and move toward a greater sense of balance and well-being.
Outside of her professional work, Jordan enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching reality television, and participating in holiday-themed activities.
