Dr. Gellman also works with individuals to address mood disorders, work and career issues, stress management, life transitions, OCD and phobias, and insomnia.
Dr. Gellman’s approach to therapy is “integrative.” This means that she draws from several different types of therapy (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapies, etc.) to best meet the needs of each client.
She also incorporates aspects of mind-body treatments as she is a registered yoga teacher with specialized training in therapeutic, trauma- sensitive yoga and a teacher of mindfulness and Integrative Restoration (iRest) Guided Meditation.
Her approach to therapy is to work from a holistic perspective that incorporates the whole of a person. In a comfortable, collaborative and supportive atmosphere, she offers a highly personalized approach tailored to each client’s individual needs to help them attain the changes they are seeking.
Dr. Gellman grew up in Western NY and moved to North Carolina in 2016 as she was tired of the snow. When not working, she can be found spending time outdoors with her spouse and dogs, gardening, reading, and teaching yoga.
