Hanna is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She earned her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2021, and her Bachelors Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in addiction from Liberty University in 2017. Hanna also earned her Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in childhood education from Florida State College in 2010. Hanna is a Nationally Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors since 2023.
Hanna has experience working with children all the way up to senior adults. Hanna has worked with troubled teens at a level three group home, senior adults at a nursing home facility, an adult population at Johnston County Behavioral Health and children through adults, with some couple and family counseling at a private practice. Hanna has experience working with clients who have adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, PTSD, BPD, as well as clients dealing with behavioral and relationship issues.
Hanna uses an eclectic therapy approach drawing from a variety of counseling theories and techniques depending on what is best for each client with their individual goals and needs. This includes, but is not limited to; Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy and Play Therapy while also implementing communication, parenting and self-esteem building techniques, when needed. Hanna also draws from life experience as she has been married for over 19 years and has three teenagers of her own. Hanna believes a strong therapeutic bond is the most important factor when it comes to therapy. Hanna will always be empathetic, kind and supportive as she partners with her clients to help them reach their goals and work through life’s obstacles.
