Staci Ellsworth

LCMHCA

Staci is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science from the University of North
Carolina Wilmington in 2013 and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from
the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2015. Staci worked as a registered nurse in both a
medical-surgical and an emergency room setting for six years prior to obtaining her MA in
Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2024. She brings to the table a
warm, empathetic presence and a dash of therapeutic humor to help her clients feel seen from
the moment they walk through the door.

Staci has experience in working with both individuals and couples aged 18 and up. She enjoys
working with college students and young professionals as they navigate the stressors we often
face in our 20s. She also enjoys pulling from her experience as a registered nurse to work
alongside healthcare professionals wrestling with burnout and compassion fatigue. Among other
populations, Staci has a special heart for members of the military community as well as women
struggling with PCOS and infertility. When working with couples, Staci uses both Gottman and
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) concepts, which are heavily backed by research to show
effectiveness in improving relationships. Using a trauma-informed approach, she refers to
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as the backbone of her work when helping clients examine
their thoughts and the resulting behaviors they desire to change or eliminate.

Outside of the therapy session, you can find Staci enjoying a Starbucks coffee, boating on the
ocean, watching NFL football with her husband, and toting around her two giggly little boys
