MBA, MIM, LCMHCA, LCASA
Jason is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate who works primarily with adults navigating chronic pain, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. He earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Information Management (MIM) from Washington University in St. Louis.
Before entering the counseling profession, Jason spent over two decades in leadership roles across finance, healthcare, and analytics, developing a nuanced understanding of stress, identity, and resilience in high-demand environments.
Jason’s counseling style is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. His approach is grounded in person-centered and solution-focused therapy, informed by attachment theory and supported by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions, and existential therapy. He works with clients to deepen insight, build emotional flexibility, and pursue meaningful, values-driven change.
Drawing from his own experience managing chronic pain, Jason brings a unique understanding of the emotional toll physical symptoms can carry. This perspective informs his ability to create an empathetic and grounded therapeutic space for clients who feel isolated, frustrated, or overwhelmed.
Jason believes therapy should offer both safety and structure—a space where clients feel seen and supported while working toward real, lasting change. He meets clients where they are, helping them explore the connections between past experiences and present patterns, clarify what matters most, and develop practical tools for sustainable healing.
Outside the counseling room, Jason enjoys spending time with his wife and two college-aged children. He values family, meaningful conversation, and the ongoing work of balancing wellness and purpose in everyday life.
