Steve Pinette

MSW, LCSW

Steve Pinette, MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with his bachelor’s degree in psychology from William Peace University in Raleigh, NC in 2017. He then graduated with honors with his master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno in May 2020. As part of his master’s education, Steve served as a clinical social worker with Catholic Charities in Raleigh providing mental health counseling to a diverse population. This work included treating children, adolescents, adults, couples and families on issues such as depression, anxiety, family stress, marriage concerns, relationship difficulties, behavioral problems to name a few.

Steve works with clients of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds from school age through all levels of maturity and has a unique connection when working with emerging and young adults (ages 15-25). He understands that each problem is unique and a problem is not a defining quality of any one’s life. Each person perceives their life differently and because of this, Steve focuses on a person-centered strengths-based approach to counseling relying on the client to be the expert in their own life. In collaboration with the client, Steve uses a hybrid treatment approach that helps to separate the problem from the client so the client-therapist alliance can work together to derive methods to overcome obstacles and help the client return to a happier, healthier life.
