Peggy Wallace

MSW, LCSW

Peggy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at Fredonia where she completed a dual Major in Psychology and Health Services Administration. Peggy has been licensed in the state of North Carolina as an LCSW since 2003 providing counseling in various settings including hospital, community, outpatient, and school settings. She completed Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Garden in Apex, NC in 2013 and is a Registered Yoga Teacher-200.

Peggy brings an eclectic style of therapy that is tailored to her client’s needs including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy techniques, and a Person-Centered approach. She incorporates mindfulness and yoga to enhance client outcomes. She believes in the connection of mind and body as well as that people innately possess the ability to grow toward their authentic selves and live a life that is congruent with health and well-being. Peggy believes in building an integrative approach to help people reach their potential. She provides a safe space and a non-judgmental approach. Therapy is an opportunity to build resiliency to life’s challenges and she is there to encourage hope. She specializes in treating adults and adolescents in treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem/self-worth issues, grief/loss, life transitions, identity, and relationship/interpersonal issues.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, attending music concerts, practicing yoga, and playing guitar.
