Hunter Blake

LCMHCA, NCC

Hunter is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA), as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) by the NBCC. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Hunter’s primary concerns for you are both that you feel safe in the confidential environment of the counseling session and that you are willing to be challenged as you fight for positive change in your life. From a solution-focused, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic theoretical background, Hunter’s emphasis in counseling has a variety of specific focuses. His goal is to equip you to identify the practical changes in a situation, search internally to find the deeper meaning of how past events have affected the present, and encourage you to lay out a plan for reaching goals that promote growth in your day-to-day life.

As an advocate for mental health awareness, Hunter is passionate to guide you to live the life of peace and strength that you’ve come to counseling to find. He is an encourager of possessing healthy relationships and moving past the difficulties of life in a healthy manner. If you desire healing and seek to become a person that passes on what you’ve learned to others who you care about that face similar problems, he is the counselor for you! Hunter provides faith-based or spiritually integrated therapy if requested by the client.

In his off-time Hunter is a particularly social person, hosting events often with people who encourage and support him. He also enjoys playing sports such as basketball and soccer despite learning them at a later age. Beyond that, you can find Hunter working out in the gym or reading books that inspire him to continue in self-growth!
