Erica Dahms

Erica Dahms is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She then went on to East Carolina University to earn a Master of Social Work with a concentration on substance use counseling. Erica has trained and worked in a wide variety of settings with a diverse clientele which has allowed her to practice various treatment methods. She specializes in working with adults and adolescents living with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, co-occurring disorders, and substance use disorders. She takes a special interest in veterans as she is a military wife herself and is familiar with the unique challenges military personnel and their families face. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic and adaptable with roots in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy. Erica is passionate about being genuine and creating a person centered environment that fosters exploration and growth. Her ultimate goal is to empower others on their journey by offering a different perspective or being an emotional side kick.
