Cameron earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Cameron has prior experience as an intensive in-home therapist and as an Outpatient Therapist for individuals and groups. Her experience includes working with children, teenagers, and adults in the mental health field. Cameron has worked with crisis clients and is interested in trauma work.
Cameron specializes in working with teenagers who have experienced trauma and are experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and life transitions. Cameron also offers parent and family work. Cameron is trained in and often uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing with clients. Cameron uses a person-centered approach tailoring to each client’s individual needs. Cameron uses a strengths-based approach when working with clients. Cameron likes to establish both short and long-term goals with clients to optimize client success.
